Privacy

What Scorsync collects on this site and in the scoring app, why we collect it, and how to have it changed or deleted.

The contact form

When you send the form, we keep what you type: your name, email, club, competition level and message. If you ask for a walkthrough, we also keep the times that suit you and your time zone. If one of our social links brought you here, we keep the name of that link and the site it was posted on.

We use this only to reply to you and to set Scorsync up for your meets. Our team gets a copy by email and in a private Slack channel, and the first time, we send you an automatic reply. If you send the form again with the same email, we keep your first answers and send only what changed to our team. We keep your details in our database until you ask us to delete them.

The pilot meet questionnaire

After a call with us, a club can ask for a free pilot meet at /pilot. We keep what you type: your club, name, email and phone, each meet’s name, dates, entry deadline and city, and your answers about each meet and its venue. Our team gets a copy by email and in a private Slack channel. If your email is already in our contact form records, we link the two. We use this only to plan your pilot meet, and we keep it until you ask us to delete it.

Booking a walkthrough

“Book a walkthrough” opens our booking page on Zoho Calendar. What you enter there goes to Zoho and to us, and Zoho’s privacy policy covers it. We count clicks on the homepage’s booking buttons, and the count does not identify you.

Videos

Your browser keeps a random ID, ss_vid, in its local storage. It identifies the browser, not you. When you react to a video, we keep the ID with your reaction, so each browser counts once. Your browser also remembers your own reactions (ss_rx), so the buttons show what you picked.

We count plays and how far each video is watched, by video and by day. We also count visits through each of our social links, by day and by the site the link was posted on. The counts do not include the ID.

If one of our social links brought you here, your browser keeps the name of that link (ss_ft). For 30 days, it sends that name with the video counts, the contact form and clicks on “Book a walkthrough”, so we know which posts bring people here. After 30 days it sends nothing, until you arrive from another of our links.

Cookies and browser storage

There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. To remove what this site keeps in your browser, clear the site’s data in your browser settings.

Services that help us

Each one gets only what it needs to do its job.

Like every website, our servers see your IP address and browser type with each request. We use them to keep the site working and to stop abuse, for example to limit how often a form can be sent.

When a club runs a meet on Scorsync

Hosts, judges and meet staff have accounts with a name, an email address and a password or PIN. Some meet devices, such as scoring stations, sign in with a code for that device instead of a personal account.

To run a meet, the host enters each athlete’s name, club, level, gender, date of birth and USA Gymnastics membership number. Date of birth puts athletes in the correct age group. A host can also add a photo and notes.

The host decides what to enter. We use meet data only to run the meet and to support the host. At a meet that runs on the venue’s own computer, anyone on the venue’s network can see the results. Results go online for everyone only when the host publishes them to scorsync.com, where the scorsync.com privacy policy applies.

Children

Many athletes are under 18. Athletes do not have Scorsync accounts: a club or host enters their details to run a meet. A parent or guardian can ask us to see, correct or delete their child’s data, and we work with the host to do it.

Your choices

Email support@scorsync.com to see, correct or delete your data. Tell us what you want. There is no form and no fee.

Changes

When we change this page, we change the date at the top.
